Organizing and activism in Tech

I was a Union representative at Google for Unite the Union! (the major union in the UK). I have learnt a lot from all the people I have met in this adventure and I recommend all tech employees to unite and organise to make tech a safer place to work and a more ethical product for the people.

Women in Machine Learning

I need to edit that one because I have recently become part of the WiML board. I generally support women organisation in Machine Learning and I encourage you to reach out to me if you'd like to help! (best way is first.last@utn.de but don't spread the word ;) )

First PhD student graduation

Alexandre Marthe -- March 10th 2026

Alexandre was co-supervised with the great Aurélien Garivier (ENS Lyon, on the right).

Alexandre's work explored Distributional Reinforcement Learning and its role in the optimization of risk measures in reinforcement learning.

We were lucky to have the greatest experts in the committee (Marc Bellemare, Remi Munos and Vianney Perchet).
